Our Work

From Nourishing to Flourishing
SolAria believes that exceptional talent flourishes when artists are surrounded by training, mentorship, opportunity, community, and practical support. By helping young musicians bridge the gap between potential and a professional artistic life, SolAria seeks not only to nurture individual artists, but also to help keep music and live performance thriving for future generations.

Education & Mentorship

SolAria supports young musicians through dedicated artistic training, individual mentorship, and opportunities to develop both technique and artistic identity. Many SolAria artists study directly with founder Fang Tao Jiang while pursuing degrees at leading institutions including The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Yale School of Music, and other conservatories. Through lessons, coaching, ensemble work, and performance preparation, young artists are encouraged to build confidence, collaboration, and a distinctive artistic voice.

Artist Support & Scholarships

For emerging musicians, talent alone is not always enough. The cost of lessons, tuition, travel, auditions, competitions, and professional training can place important opportunities out of reach. SolAria helps bridge that gap through financial assistance, artistic support, and access to professional opportunities.

Before founding SolAria, Fang Tao Jiang and Hal Edelman supported young musicians with free weekly voice lessons, tuition and living expenses, audition and competition travel, study-abroad opportunities, and professional performance opportunities. SolAria continues that commitment through its Emerging Artist Awards and Scholarships.

Performance Opportunities

The stage is an essential part of an artist’s development. SolAria creates meaningful performance opportunities that allow emerging musicians to gain experience, build confidence, collaborate with other artists, and connect with audiences.

SolAria artists have appeared in concerts at venues including Carnegie Hall, the National Opera Center, Merkin Hall, and other performance spaces, with opportunities ranging from solo appearances and chamber music to opera, ensemble singing, and benefit concerts.
